Our client is a global leading Communication Solution vendor focused on offering End-to-End Smart-City infrastructure solutions.

They offered a wide range of Smart-Grid and Smart-Metering solutions to Water, Gas and Electricity Utilities companies around the world.

In North Asia region, they have key team of sales and technical professionals located in Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan.

They are now recruiting a Presales Solution Architect professional to support their Regional Sales team across Asia region (based in Hong Kong).

Responsibilities

·         Day to day pre-sales technical leadership and accountability for producing technical solutions to meet utility customer’s requirements including dimensioning of radio and core networks

·         Gaining and maintaining a complete understanding of the Smart-Metering product portfolio.  Providing recommendations and justifications  for product enhancements to Product Management and R&D

·         Support contract negotiations to ensure the technical solution is correctly represented and any technical risks are understood

·         Technical assessment of competitive landscape for each customer

·         Represent the solution technical portfolio at industry conferences and events

·         Regular communication on status of technical deliverables

·         Providing support to multiple projects at any one time, potentially in different geographies

·         Undertake other such duties as may be reasonably required from time-to time by the Management Team

Based in Hong Kong

·         Degree or equivalent in a technical communications discipline with a sound understand of radio networks

·         End-to-end knowledge and deployment experience of the components that make up an end-to-end radio network

 ·         Experience in dimensioning radio networks including estimating number of radio base stations required by assessment of link budgets and propagation models

 ·         Understanding of Low Power Radio

 ·         Knowledge of the characteristics of utility smart meters (Electric, Gas, Water) and smart grid applications

 ·         Previous involvement in leading and authoring the technical response to customer’s requests

·         Strong project management and multi-tasking skills including working in and steering a partner eco-system

·         Demonstrable high integrity and ethical standards

·         Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), and negotiating skills

·         Problem solving and analytical ability

·         Team player who works productively and cordially with a wide range of internal and external contacts
