Business Intelligence Manager, ECommerce Retailing Business, China (based in Shanghai)

Job Responsibilities

Our client is a leading US Retailer with global revenue of over US$25 billion. The US Retailer is coming to China to setup their E-Commerce Web Retailing business to cover the 1.4 billion consumer market.

 

Key accountabilities

 

  • Understand and identify market / competitor intelligence, business trend, customer issues and key product differentiators to support EC Director on sales strategy and promotion plan of official ecommerce site & 3rd party ecommerce platform. 
  • Collaborate with a broad range of partners (Finance,  Sales, Merchant, Operation, Service and external business partners) to understand the overall financial story with focus on the big picture, root cause analysis, risks/opportunities and action
  • Analyze market / competitive dynamics and financials to drive meaningful insights about the economic and device market landscape
  • Develop quantitative and qualitative forecast models
  • Frame market and business issues as well as opportunities through intensive data analysis by category by SKU and provide advices
  • Development of various reports based on business needs
  • Offer guidance and support to internal and external partners on in-depth understanding of business fundamentals, competitive landscape, and implications on current strategy

Requirements

 

                     Bachelor or above degree in statistics, mathematics or related major

 

                     3+ years of market intelligence, strategic planning, financial planning, quantitative analysis and relevant business experience. Experience with e-commerce platform 

 

                     Strong analytical driver based modeling and statistical skills

 

                     Extensive experience with various data analysis tools

 

                     Fluency in English and Mandarin (both written and oral)

 

                     Open-minded, easy going, reliable, energetic, fits with company culture 

 

                     Strong ownership, have the capability to handle projects and deliver results independently
