Sales Engineer, Shanghai China - US Cloud Infrastructure Service Solution vendor

Our client is a leading US Cloud Infrastructure Service Solution vendor with global coverage

Summary:

Senior Field Sales Engineering position selling Cloud Infrastructure solutions to new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts. Focus on mid-size to large strategic accounts

Responsibilities:

1) Technical Consulting and Sales Support

  • Identify customer’s business needs, challenges, and technical requirements and maps to the company's Cloud solutions
  • Understand and explain customer applications and business challenges
  • Utilize "above average" understanding of the company's Cloud Solutions and Services to pitch customers in using the company as preferred Cloud Infrastructure service provider
  • Analyze situations and data on problems of moderate scope
  • Provide full support for medium to large customers, including global deployments

 

2) Solution Design and Deliverables

  • Provide technical solution design expertise to all assigned Sales account executives
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate solution
  • Assist in RFI/P/Q preparation as requested by Sales Representatives
  • Independently deliver all deliverables for the customer

 

3) Customer Service

  • Communicate with customers (internal and external) in an above average, professional, friendly and effective manner, both verbally and in writing
  • Assist in pre-sales efforts for all company products and services
  • Provide above average technical support in sales presentations, customer meetings, and trade shows
4) Collaboration / Communication
  • Develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer relationships
  • Motivate internal teams (CSM, OM, IM, Ops, etc.) to ensure smooth project transition from pre-sales to post-sales
  • Influence the cultivation of a positive culture on the team
  • Demonstrate good presentation skills

 

 



Requirements

Based in Shanghai, China

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • University Graduate or equivalent
  • 5+ years of professional technical consulting experience in high value technical products
  • Experience with IT or cloud service provider business.
  • Data center working experience is preferred
  • Experience with SFDC is an advantage
  • Strong consulting and negotiation skills and ability to support sales team to shorten sales cycle
  • Strong executive pitching skills as well as a demonstrated success in establishing and developing client relationships
  • Flexible, innovative and able to respond appropriately in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
  • Strong analytical skills, understand complex issues, quickly absorb information, excel in conceptual and creative problem solving
  • Proven presentation skills, personal impact and charisma to lead meetings and presentations 
  • Ability to travel internationally as required to visit teams in US HQ and APAC
