IT Manager – Technology Support, Services & Operations – Support 100% E-Commerce/Cloud Environment operation

Job Responsibilities

100% E-Commerce Retailing environment with operation in China and Hong Kong

This is a leading US Retailer. This IT Management role is independent from the US operation and be responsible for supporting the E-Commerce setup and operation environment of the E-Commerce Retailing business in China and Hong Kong. (Because this is 100\% e-Commerce, that means it's 100\% Cloud oriented)

 

 

Overview: With rapid growth of our ecommerce business in China, we are hiring an IT Support Manager with a focus in both office operations and business applications support.

 

The person will manage a group of internal and external resources in providing day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of the technical solutions deployed to Business. The person will also liaise with HR and Office Admin teams, delivering the appropriate IT functions in support of the office needs.

 

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Drive operational readiness planning for all major systems and projects
  • Lead training activities and develop training plans for new hire employees
  • Lead post-production support planning and implementation activities
  • Update and maintain system documentation / knowledge base
  • Collaborate with IT team members and contracted support teams in providing daily support to deployed business applications
  • Accountable for the operational performance of e-commerce systems and mobile applications
  • Drive development of monitoring capabilities for business-critical systems
  • Work with vendors in resolving operational issues
  • Measure vendor performance and provide feedback to Management
  • Develop and manage technology user community, including profiles and access control privileges
  • Work with Office Admin, providing IT operations functions to offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai
  • Manage office hardware, software and voice/data network solutions
  • Support HR employee on-boarding and departure process, offering the relevant IT services
  • Advise on budgetary and resource requirements to scale the operations and support team with business and usage growth

 

 

 

Key Stakeholders:

 

  • Potential candidates need to work with both internal and external support resources in providing day-to-day support services to our business teams located in HK and Shanghai.
  • Candidates also need to monitor operational performance and produce periodic reports to Management.

 



Requirements

Based in Hong Kong

 

  • Years of experience: 8 years (overall), 5 years (lead role)
  • 5+ years as a Support Lead role with regular and frequent contact with business partners, IT team members and vendors
  • Operations knowledge within Retail industry, China experience is a plus
  • Excellence business analysis and problem solving skills
  • Ability to monitor and measure operational efficiency, providing KPI reporting for Management
  • Drive for excellence, seeking continual operational and business improvement
  • Understanding of software and ecommerce operational readiness requirements
  • Demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit, curiosity to learn, & drive to improve the status quo
  • Results oriented and self-motivated with strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to speak and read Mandarin proficiently
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal) with all levels within organization
  • Knowledge with project management lifecycle (both waterfall and agile approaches)
  • Experience in cloud solutions and cloud monitoring technique is an advantage
