Data Analysis Manager (based in HK) (E-Commerce Retailing business)

Job Responsibilities

Based in Hong Kong

Our client is a leading US E-Commerce Retailing business. Consumers in China, HK and other Asia countries can conveniently order and buy Fashion, Apparel, Handbag, Shoes, Accessories and Cosmetics items all online. 

 

Focused on:

• Research, analyze and deliver insights on data repositories using statistical analysis and data visualization;
• Present & articulate findings to senior management;
• Develop and maintain expertise in the ecommerce domains, as well as expertise in accessing, querying, testing and validating data content to drive quality and consistency within solutions
• Be responsible for data governance and work with architects to help establish appropriate standards and methodologies around data and supporting analytic requirements from different departments.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide proactive data analysis of large structured and unstructured datasets involving a wide range of systems across ecommerce platform (i.e., Merchandising, PIM, ERP, E-commerce platform, OMS, CRM and CMS);
• Perform exploratory data analysis, rapid analytic prototyping and presenting creative ideas to exploit data to drive deeper insights and business value;
• Engage with business users across different department to understand operational & informational pain points and drive analytic solutions to address challenges;
• Leveraging new & existing Big Data & Cloud technologies contribute to the innovative design, development and management of data analytics team supporting business department to increase knowledge and insight from enterprise data;
• Assess the completeness and accuracy of data through data analytical methods, identifying gaps in data, provide Feedback to business and system owners with guidance and options to obtain missing information.
• Evaluating existing and proposed data models and how to best access and query them as well as existing and proposed data interfaces and how to clearly document them, including specification of data flow models, data flow timing, data mapping, and data transformation rules including data validations and controls
